Old lesson from a cracked glass cup!
I opened the hot water tap and placed my glass cup beneath the flow of the water and let it remain under the hot stream, my intention was for the cup to get hot to kill-off any tiny insect that might have found its way in… when i was satisfied, i immediately removed the cup and place it under the cold water i was to drink just to find out that; as the cold water entered into the cup the cup immediately started cracking. I dawned on me that it was the effect of the two extremes that made my cup crack, but all this same, i was shocked.
The old lesson in question; the middle way from eastern philosophy.
The Buddha describes the middle way as a path of moderation, between the extremes of sensual indulgence and self-mortification. This, according to him, was the path of wisdom. These two extremes ought not to be practiced by one …
This made me reflect and know i know the difference between knowing a truth mentally and having an experience of it.
Fortunately, my cup still holds water without licking, with the cracks a constant reminder of the lesson for as long as the cup would hold together.

What is life ...?
we are born into this world with nothing but i don't get why people covet, conspire against,or even kill others to get wealthy when they can't go with a single dime when they die . . .when i was a kid i always told my self -"life ends when u stop dreaming, hope ends when u stop believing, love ends when u stop caring, faith, hope &love makes life worth living . . .life is beautiful"- my very own philosopy of life, but then i grew up to discover that peoples philosopy&principles differ and then i start to wonder is life all about sorting out our different beleifs, culture, tradition & religion, speaking of religions, they all believe that a supreme being{GOD} created all things . . .i wonder why the religious people argue amongst themselves . . . Does it really matter by what name we choose to call God . . .i belive it does not change who He is .
Speaking of tradition, culture & beliefs,no matter the race, tribe & colour i believe we all make up the human race, but then throughout history our ancestors have fought to prove that their beliefs & traditions is superior to that of their neighbours and this trend was passed down from one generation to another . . .is life all about the battle for supremacy amongst peoples, tribes, races, nations & countries, hmmn i wonder . . .
The rich are trying to get wealthier at the expense of the poor, one begins to wonder is life about yeilding to the urges of our insatiable greed,or is about living oneday at a time, making the most out of every good oppurtunity, spending quality time with our loved ones, putting a smile on each others faces, learning from our mistakes and trying to be better people as we await with patience what tomorrow might bring us.

Inspirational Quotes To Guide You By Frank Fausto
First is the quote from Leo Buscaglia who says you shouldn't "spend time asking why isn't the world a better place". He say's this is only a waste of time, because there is no answer.
Their really is no answer to that first question Leo asks, and yet we tend to get caught up on it. Why aren't things like this, or I wish they were like that. Think of all that we could accomplish if we ignored those thoughts and actively set about to change the world.
Next is a quote from Buddha. "You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."
Sometimes we beat ourselves up, and maybe we deserve it at times. But, we need to love ourselves. Only when we can care for ourselves and be whole can we truly love others and care for them.
From Vivienne Greene is "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Sure, bad things happen. But we can either let life pass us by or accept that things happen, good and bad, and learn to 'dance in the rain'.
Next, from famous author Mark Twain. "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."
How true is this? Personally, I can look no further than my office to understand this. I previously worked for someone who took every chance to belittle me. No surprise, I went home everyday feeling horrible. Then I took on a new job with a new manager who praised me and took joy in teaching me and helping me improve. Stay away, if you can, from those who beat you down. They only do it because they themselves feel insignificant.
Lastly, let's end with some words from Wayne Gretzky, famous hockey player. "100% of the shots you don't take don't go in."
If you never try, you will never succeed. Many adventures fail. Did you know Thomas Edison failed hundreds of times before landing on the right combination of materials for his light bulb to be a success? If you don't take a shot at it, you will never have the chance of winning. So go for it!
I hope these inspirational quotes get you through your rough patch, or keep you grounded during the good moments. Live is all about living, so take heed from these wise men and women who came before us.
